Blue Oak Energy completes 4.2 MW solar power project

Blue Oak Energy announced it has completed the delivery of a 4.2 MW solar power generation project in Gridley, Calif. The project, which was developed by LightBeam Energy Inc., will provide electricity to the City of Gridley and the Bay Area Rapid Transit through separate energy meters.

The project uses 17,584 solar panels manufactured by Trina Solar. The solar modules are mounted on a single-axis tracker system that follows the movement of the sun, and the facility is monitored and scheduled by the California Independent System Operator through a secure remote information gateway.
