Wal-Mart expanding solar installations in Ohio

Wal-Mart said it is partnering with SolarCity to install solar panels at 12 Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores throughout Ohio totaling more than 4.7 MW of generating capacity.

The installations are expected to supply approximately 5 to 20 percent of each store’s overall electricity use. SolarCity, as part of its SolarStrong program, is installing solar arrays at military bases around the U.S.
