SunEdison announced Thursday the company now has more than 1 GW of global solar photovoltaic assets under the management of its Renewable Operations Centers. The facilities include a mix of plants owned by SunEdison and its investment partners as well as third parties using SunEdison’s advanced services platform.
SunEdison operates three Renewable Operations Centers that are configured with redundancy to avoid disruption of service. The company’s flagship center is at its headquarters in Belmont, Calif., with additional facilities located in Chennai, India and Madrid, Spain.
SunEdison Vice President and General Manager for Global Services Mark McLanahan said SunEdison is in a unique position to serve customers in terms of asset management because the company is not just a vendor but also an owner and operator of photovoltaic solar power plants.
