Solar America to build second solar project in Mexico

Solar America Corp. announced this week plans for its second project in Mexico after executing a Memorandum of Understanding with Habitables Innca S.A. de C.V., the principal contractor for the San Nicolas housing project in Guadalajara.

Solar America will be the exclusive provider of solar power and solar light solutions for the project, which is the company’s second project in Mexico. Solar America is also participating in the Los Conejos housing project, also in Guadalajara.

According to Solar America, Mexico is looking to increase its use of alternative energy sources. Less than 1 percent of the country’s land area would need to be developed to power the entire nation, according to Mexico’s energy ministry.
