NRC to meet with SCE to discuss SONGS nuclear license change

The NRC has agreed to meeting with representatives of Southern California Edison in Rockville, Md., to discuss Edison’s proposal to amend the operating license on the San Onofre nuclear reactor Unit 2.

The meeting will take place on April 3 from 1-3 p.m. According to the NRC, no license amendment has been filed and no decisions about a possible eventual restart of any of the reactors at the San Onofre plant will be made at the meeting.
