American Electric Power selects Alstom for Cook 2 nuclear plant turbine retrofit

Alstom has won a contract to provide steam turbine retrofit services for unit 2 of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP)'s D.C. Cook nuclear plant in Bridgeman, Mich.

The project will include the manufacture, supply and installation of a new high-pressure turbine module and three low-pressure inner blocks for the nuclear steam turbine, according to an Alstom press release.
