ABB to upgrade coal-fired unit's control system

Weston coal-fired power plant Wisconsin Public Service control system upgrade ABB

Wisconsin Public Service picked ABB (NYSE: ABB) to upgrade the control system on the 360 MW Unit 3 at the Weston coal-fired power plant in Wisconsin.

ABB will provide its Symphony Plus control system, and the company is responsible for all parts of the project, including control system design, implementation, testing installation and start-up. ABB will also provide retrofit engineering and site services.
