Yingli Green Energy supplies solar modules to Caribbean project

Yingli Green Energy Americas has supplied 24 MW of solar PV modules to one of the largest solar projects in the Caribbean. The recently-commissioned plant is on 138 acres of land in Guayama, Puerto Rico. Yingli Green Energy Americas is a subsidiary of Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE).

Approximately 110,000 YGE 60 Cell Series modules have entered operation at the utility-scale project. All electricity generated is being sold to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
