Siemens Canada signs wind O&M contract extensions

Siemens Canada Ltd., a unit of Siemens (NYSE: SI), was awarded a 10-year wind energy service contract extension for 48 SWT-2.3-93 and 40 SWT-2.3-101 wind turbines at two wind projects in Ontario, Canada.

Siemens will provide 10 years of service and maintenance along with an availability guarantee for Kruger Energy’s Port Alma and Chatham Kent wind farms, rated at 100 MW each. Siemens will also install its Power Curve Upgrade on the SWT-2.3-93 turbines used at both projects.
