Canadian solar industry decries nuclear "misinformation" campaign

The Canadian solar power industry is under “attack” from traditional energy sources, with nuclear power leading the pack, said John Gorman, president of the Canadian Solar Industries Association, the Globe and Mail reports.

Gorman said claims by the nuclear power sector that it is more economically viable and just as clean as renewables—primarily wind and solar—amount to “misinformation.” Gorman said rather than locking horns renewables and traditional sources should work together as a part of “the energy mix.”
