ABB upgrades control system for natural gas-fired turbines

ABB (NYSE: ABB) has commissioned a Symphony control system upgrade for the Pratt & Whitney FT8 TWINPAC natural gas-fired turbines at Iberdrola’s 500 MW Klamath Cogeneration Facility in Oregon.

ABB designed an implemented enhanced control logic and graphics, developed the advanced surge protection module, start-up and commissioning as part of the scope of the project.
