Aecom Technology Corp. (NYSE: ACM) said that a joint venture it is part of was awarded a five-year, $109 million contract by the U.S. Department of Defense to perform base operations support at the Rock Island Arsenal as well as six other locations in Illinois and Iowa.
The contract’s scope includes public works support for the hydroelectric plant, steam generating plant and natural gas boilers, facilities engineering administration and water and sanitary sewage systems, water treatment and distribution and a variety of unscheduled services.
The majority of work will occur at the Rock Island Base, an island on the Mississippi River between Davenport, Iowa and Rock Island, Ill.
