Mitsubishi ships gas-fired turbine to Dominion power plant

Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas Inc. (MPSA) on Oct. 10 said the first commercial M501GAC gas turbine has been shipped from the Savannah Machinery Works in Georgia, just 18 months after the $325 million gas turbine manufacturing and service facility was dedicated.

Earlier this year, MPSA received a second order from Dominion to supply three gas turbines and one steam turbine for the Brunswick County Power Station in southern Virginia.
