Breen Energy Solutions has announced two contracts with utilities operating coal-fired power plants.
The contracts involve sorbent injection for the removal of mercury (Hg) and other contaminants. One contract with a large utility in the eastern United States includes the supply, operation and testing of two temporary dry sorbent injection systems. The second contract, with a utility in the southern U.S., will focus on testing the use of activated carbons and non-AC sorbents for the removal of mercury.
