Exelon to further assist nuclear power expansion in China

Exelon Nuclear Partners (ENP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Exelon Generation Co. LLC (NYSE: EXC), on Sept. 16 signed an agreement with China Power Investment Corp. (CPI) to launch the 2012 Exelon/CPI Nuclear Management Model Executive Training Course. With this agreement, the two companies said they are committed to working together to develop and implement best practices for the nuclear industry in China.

CPI will participate in onsite training and observation for two weeks in September and two weeks in November. Training will focus on Exelon’s principles in organizational design at the individual nuclear site and nuclear fleet levels.

In November 2011, Exelon and CNNC Nuclear Power Operations Management Co. Ltd. (CNNO), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corp. (CNNC), signed an agreement for Exelon to begin advisory services to CNNC.
