Babcock & Wilcox names Cohen VP of Government Affairs and Communications

The Babcock & Wilcox Co. (B&W, NYSE: BWC) named Marshall Cohen as Vice President, Government Affairs and Communications, effective October 9.

Cohen will be responsible for planning and implementing B&W’s strategic government affairs, communications and public relations efforts. He recently served as Senior Director, State and Local Government Affairs, for the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) in Washington, D.C.

Prior to his work with NEI, Cohen served as Vice President, Communications and Government Affairs, for Louisiana Energy Services (LES), a multinational consortium involved in the uranium enrichment business. Before joining LES, he was President, Association & Issues Management and President of the Aseptic Packaging Council.

Cohen holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Journalism from the University of California, Los Angeles.
