Wind power project in Michigan enters operations

DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) announced the completion of construction and the start of full commercial operations for the 212.8 MW Gratiot County Wind Project in Michigan on June 6.

The wind project features 133 1.6 MW GE (NYSE: GE) wind turbines. DTE owns 64 of the turbines, while Gratiot Wind LLC, a subsidiary of Invenergy Wind LLC, owns 69. DTE signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the output from Invenergy’s turbines.
