Hydroelectric power project purchased in New York

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy LLC completed its purchase of the 7 MW Swinging Bridge Hydroelectric Project in New York from AER NY-Gen LLC. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The purchase includes the Toronto and Swinging Bridge Reservoirs as well as Cliff Lake. The acquisition complements Eagle Creek's purchase of the Mongaup Falls and Rio Hydroelectric Projects that occurred on January 21, 2011, creating a 21 MW system of five reservoirs and three generating facilities within New York State's Mongaup Valley.

Eagle Creek and its subsidiary company, North American Hydropower, now own 29 hydroelectric facilities in five states with a combined capacity of 61 MW.
