BPA administrator and CEO to retire in 2013

Bonneville Power Administration Administrator and CEO Steve Wright announced that he will retire at the end of January 2013.

Wright has led the agency since November 2000, first as the acting administrator before being selected as the permanent administrator in February 2002.

Wright will continue to serve as the administrator until a new administrator is selected and will continue to support the transition until his retirement in January. The Department of Energy will have a competitive process conducted under the federal civil service rules to select a new BPA administrator.
