Brazilian power company to add 10 GW of biomass power to grid

Brazil-based Cteep said it plans to add 10 GW of biomass power generation to its transmission network by 2017, according to Business News Americas.

A company official said in the article that the company had already added 40 transmission lines in the past two years, equal to 2 GW of power. The official said the company is opening up its lines to biomass in order to achieve complete integration with so many new power plants coming online in the region, the article said.
