Biomass project purchased by enXco

The purchase of the Pinelands Biomass Project from Southeast Renewable Energy, LLC (SRE), has been closed by enXco. The Pinelands project consists of two 17.8 MW generating facilities in South Carolina.

Both projects are currently under construction and expected to be fully operational by the end of 2013.

The two projects will interconnect to Santee Cooper's transmission system under 30-year power purchase agreements.

The projects will use a stoker boiler supplied by Factory Sales Engineering and a steam turbine generator supplied by General Electric (GE). Bibb Engineers is the engineer of record and Summit Industrial Construction is the general contractor.
