SDG&E signs PPAs for solar energy

Silverado Power and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) signed two 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Silverado Power subsidiaries Western Antelope Dry Ranch LLC and Victor Mesa Linda B LLC, both in California. The PPAs are for a total of 15 MW of solar energy and still require approval from the California Public Utilities Commission.

The Western Antelope project will generate 10 MW and the Victor Mesa Linda project will generate 5 MW. The projects will create a total of 80 construction jobs over the course of construction, which is expected to start in April 2013 and continue through October 2013.

Silverado Power develops utility scale solar photovoltaic ground-mounted systems. It is backed by the Martifer Group, a multinationalenergy and infrastructure company.
