Verschuren to help energy storage startup

Entrepreneur Annette Verschuren will take the role of executive chair of NRStor Inc., a new company established to commercialize energy storage technologies.

NRStor plans to develop Canada's first energy storage park that will demonstrate newly developed technologies that store electrical energy for later use. Verschuren previously was the president of The Home Depot Canada and Asia, and she started her career in the coal mining industry with the Cape Breton Development Corp. in Nova Scotia.

Verschuren earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from St. Francis Xavier University.
