Nuclear power plant returns to service

Control room operators returned the Indian Point 3 nuclear power plant to service March 1. Entergy’s (NYSE: ETR) Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan, N.Y., is a two-unit plant that generates about 2,000 MW.

Operators had disconnected the plant from the electrical grid Feb. 28 to troubleshoot a problem with an auxiliary electrical transformer.
