Mortenson Construction has been selected as EPC contractor by San Francisco-based MP2 Capital, a developer, financier and operator of solar facilities throughout North America, to construct a 2.4 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar plant in North Carolina.

As EPC contractor, Mortenson will provide design and engineering services as well as install all project components, which will include Trina multicrystalline modules, Northern States Metal Solar FlexRack racking systems and SMA inverters.  Construction crews will break ground in January and expect to complete the project by the end of April 2012.
