Exelon completes wind energy project in Michigan

Exelon Wind, a unit of Exelon Corp (NYSE: EXC), completed the 90 MW capacity Michigan Wind 2 Project.

The project will use 50 Vestas turbines, and is located near the 46-turbine Michigan Wind 1 project. Consumers Energy is purchasing the output from Michigan 2 under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

Exelon Wind also operates the Harvest I Wind project in Michigan and is scheduled to begin construction on the 59.4 MW Harvest II Wind project in 2012.
