A list of possible coal closures in the U.S.

This list is featured in the January 2012 issue of Power Engineering magazine.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and interviews with The Associated Press, at least 69 units either will retire or are at risk of retirement due to EPA rules released in December pertaining to mercury emissions.
