NRG Bluewater Wind terminates offshore PPA

NRG Bluewater Wind has terminated its power purchase agreement with Delmarva Power & Light for a 200 MW offshore wind project off the coast of Delaware.

The company announced in early December that it would likely halt development of the project if an investment partner was not found by Dec. 23.

The company will continue to maintain its offshore wind assets and will work with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management on a lease for the offshore project, as well as continue to seek a buyer, said NRG Bluewater spokesperson David Gaier.
