Fluor announces leadership changes

Fluor Corp. (NYSE: FLR) has made changes to the company’s existing senior leadership structure.

Kirk Grimes will assume the role of group executive for Operations overseeing the company’s construction, procurement, project risk management and sustainability functions, as well as project execution services, project excellence network and strategic planning. Grimes had served as president of Fluor’s Global Services Business Group since 2003.

Garry W. Flowers has been named group president for Global Services which includes Fluor’s operations and maintenance business, TRS temporary staffing and AMECO equipment rental business. Flowers previously served as senior vice president for Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE); corporate security; and industrial relations. Along with Flowers’ new Global Services responsibilities, he will retain oversight of the company’s HSE, Security and Industrial Relations functions. From September 2009 to October 2011, Flowers served as the president and CEO of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions LLC, the Fluor-led partnership that oversees the management, cleanup and operations at the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site.

The changes will be effective January 1, 2012.
