AP1000 design accepted in the UK

Regulators in the United Kingdom granted Interim Design Acceptance Confirmation and Interim Statement of Design Acceptability to Westinghouse Electric Co.’s AP1000 nuclear reactor design.

In June, the UK’s Office for Nuclear Regulation lifted a regulatory issue connected to the design of the AP1000 reactor.
