Solar energy project completed in New Jersey

Constellation Energy Group (NYSE: CEG) completed a 6.5 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project at two locations in New Jersey.

Constellation acquired the 6.5 MW project from solar power developer Community Energy Solar in 2011. Constellation built the system and will own it. The project includes a 4 MW installation and a 2.5 MW installation using a total of 27,896 PV ground-mounted panels.

Vineland Municipal Electric Utility signed a 25-year power purchase agreement for the output. Constellation owns and runs nearly 100 MW of solar projects in the U.S.
