S&C wins contract for electrical equipment at wind power farm

S&C Electric Co. said that it will provide a complete procure-construct solution for the 102 MW Coram Ridge Wind Farm in Mojave, Calif. S&C will procure and construct the electrical equipment necessary to connect 34 Vestas 3 MW turbines to the grid.

For this project, S&C will also integrate a 69 kV underground transmission line and also develop two 66 kV substations and overhead and underground collector systems.

The plant is owned by Coram California Development L.P.
