Pattern Energy Group LP has announced its intention to abandon development of its Yolo County, Calif. wind power project due to the potential for impact on sensitive local bird species, including golden eagles and bald eagles. The 100 MW project near Sacramento was in mid-stage development and had not yet entered construction.
Pattern currently has 520 MW of wind power projects in operation. The company expects to bring 1,000 MW of wind power projects into construction over the next 12 months.
