Gas-fired turbine to use Wood Group components

Wood Group GTS has been awarded a $3.5 million contract from Dow Chemical Co. USA to provide Advanced Parts Manufacture (APM) hot gas path components for Dow's ABB GT11D5 gas turbine located at Plaquemine Chemical Plant in southern Louisiana.

Under the contract, Wood Group GTS will provide APM capital spare parts, including rotor and stator components for the gas turbine. Installed in 1975, the turbine is a source of steam and power for the petrochemical plant operation.
