Gas-fired power plant O&M agreement signed

NAES Corp. said that it has entered into an agreement with MinnTex Power Holdings LLC to perform operations and maintenance services for the 1,000 MW gas-fired Guadalupe Power Project located in Marion, Texas.

The Guadalupe Power Project achieved commercial operations in April 2001 and NAES assumed operations in March 2011. The plant consists of two, 2-on-1 combined cycle power blocks of "F" technology combustion turbines. In addition, an extensive zero liquid discharge water/waste treatment facility is employed.

In March 2011, PSEG Power closed the sale of the 1 Guadalupe plant to MinnTex Power Holdings LLC and MinnTex GP LLC, for approximately $352 million.
