Gamesa unit sells company, wind farm to enXco

Gamesa Energy USA LLC signed an agreement to sell its full interest in Chestnut Flats Wind LLC and all project assets owned by the company to enXco, a unit of EDF Energies Nouvelles Co.

The 38 MW capacity Chestnut Flats Wind Project is located in Pennsylvania and uses 18 G90 and one G87 Gamesa wind turbines rated at 2 MW each. Delmarva Power and Light Co., a unit of PHI, will purchase the output under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

The deal is expected to close by the end of 2011.
