Wind energy project at hospital breaks ground

Juhl Wind Inc. broke ground on a 4.95 MW wind energy project at a hospital in Minnesota.

Juhl Wind is the developer and construction manager for the $10 million project at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.

The project will use two Clipper Windpower C96 wind turbines with a nameplate capacity of 2.5 MW each. The turbines will operate at a combined capacity of 4.95 MW in order to meet distributed generation requirements established by MISO.
