Siemens names CEO of new business unit

Daryl Dulaney was appointed chief executive officer of Siemens (NYSE: SI)'s newly-formed Infrastructure & Cities (IC) sector in North America, which comprises the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America. Dulaney also will continue to serve as president and chief executive officer of Siemens Industry Inc., the legal entity comprising both the Infrastructure & Cities and Industry Sectors in the United States.

The IC sector will be organized into five divisions: Building Technologies, Low and Medium Voltage (power distribution for utilities and facilities), Mobility and Logistics (traffic, transport and logistics management), Rail Systems (rail vehicles) and Smart Grid (intelligent power grids).

With more than 30 years experience at Siemens, Dulaney was named president and chief executive officer of Siemens Industry Inc. in Oct. 2009.  Prior to that, he was the U.S. CEO of Siemens Building Technologies Inc.
