Midwest Energy Emissions names president, COO

Midwest Energy Emissions Corp. appointed Alan Kelley as President and Chief Operating Officer effective Nov. 1. Kelley replaces Richard MacPherson, who will move to the position of senior vice president of Strategic Initiatives and will continue as a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

Kelley previously was President and CEO of Grand Bahama Power Co. Before that, he held several positions with Ameren (NYSE: AEE), including Chairman, President and CEO of Ameren’s deregulated generating company.

Kelley earned a Bachelor of Science in Electric Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Missouri. Kelley also completed the Public Utility Executive Program at the University of Michigan.
