Chromalloy appoints new president

Chromalloy on Oct. 12 said that Carlo Luzzatto has been named president.

Luzzatto comes to Chromalloy from Ansaldo Energia, a division of the Italian conglomerate Finmeccanica S.p.A., where he was serving as Co-General Manager.

Luzzatto succeeds Armand F. Lauzon, Jr., who held the position since 2008. Lauzon will become the company’s chief executive officer and is also chief executive officer of Sequa Corp., Chromalloy’s parent company.

Prior to joining Ansaldo Energia, Luzzatto was general manager of GE’s RotorFlow unit, within GE Oil and Gas. Luzzatto began his career at Finmeccanica in Italy, holding a variety of technical, engineering and business leadership positions.
