Gas-fired power plant completed by Fluor

Fluor Corp. (NYSE: FLR) completed the 580 MW Bear Garden natural gas-fired, combined-cycle generating station for Dominion Virginia Power (NYSE: D).

Fluor was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction services for the Bear Garden Generating Station. The project began in the spring of 2009 and Fluor delivered the facility to Dominion Virginia Power on schedule in mid-2011.

The Bear Garden Generating Station is designed to run primarily on natural gas with ultra low-sulfur diesel fuel as a backup.
