AP1000 nuclear reactors to use Efacec transformers

Efacec Power Transformers Inc., a unit of Efacec USA Inc., booked a multi-million dollar order from Westinghouse Electric Co. LLC for 20 unit transformers to be used in Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear reactors.

Westinghouse and its consortium partner, The Shaw Group, will supply and construct two AP1000 reactors for Scana’s V.C. Summer plant in South Carolina and two for Southern Co.
