Solar energy project signs power purchase agreement

Marin Clean Energy signed a power purchase agreement with enXco, a unit of EDF Energies Nouvelles Co., for 31 MW of solar photovoltaic energy from a 1 MW carport installation in California.

enXco will develop, own and operate the solar project with Marin Clean Energy purchasing the power generated under a 25-year PPA with buyout opportunities at years 10, 15, and 20 of the contract term.

Construction is expected to begin in 2013 with commercial operation expected by 2014.
