Solar energy project in France to use Canadian Solar panels

Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ) will supply 8 MW of solar modules to EOSOL Energies Nouvelles for its 10.7 MW ground-mounted solar power plant in France.

The plant will use 39,500 Canadian Solar modules and is expected to be operational by October 2011. TSK will be the engineering, procurement and construction company for the plant and Abraxa Investment Fund provided the financing.

EOSOL EN previously chose Canadian Solar to supply solar modules for a 230 kV project, an 8 MW project and a 5.1 MW project across France.
