Solar energy project approved for transmission line

The U.S. Department of the Interior approved a transmission line for the 250 MW Imperial Valley Solar Energy Center West project.

The 230 kV line will carry electricity five miles to the existing Imperial Valley Substation. CSolar Development LLC owns the solar project. There is no word on which company will build the transmission line.
