Nuclear power plant license pursued in Idaho

Alternate Energy Holdings Inc. signed a contract with nuclear plant engineering firm Enercon Services Inc. to prepare a combined construction and operating license application (COLA) for submittal to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a site in Payette County, Idaho.

In June, the Payette County Commissioners unanimously approved a rezoning request for the site which officially changes a 500-acre site from agricultural to industrial.

Enercon's scope of work includes collecting geological, meteorological, hydrologic and ecological data and preparing analysis on the proposed site.
