Coal-fired power plant to use KBR emissions control system

KBR (NYSE: KBR) signed a contract to install emissions control equipment on two 880 MW coal-fired units at Southern Co.’s (NYSE: SO) 3,520 MW Plant Scherer in Georgia.

KBR will install equipment to remove sulfur and nitrogen oxides and will also provide piping, steel, ductwork, electrical and other related work.
