AP1000 nuclear reactor could go to plant in Czech Republic

Westinghouse Electric Co. signed a memorandum of understanding with Czech company I&C Energo a.s. for the construction of an AP1000 nuclear power plant in the Czech Republic.

The agreement includes exclusive cooperation with I&C Energo related to the instrumentation and control system for the reactors along with associated testing and startup services at the Temelin nuclear power plant in the South Bohemian region of the country.
