Wind energy farm in Michigan approved

The Mason County Planning Commission approved Consumers Energy, a unit of CMS Energy (NYSE: CMS), to build the 100 MW Lake Winds Energy Park in Michigan.

Vestas Wind Systems A/S will supply the 56, V100-1.8 MW turbines for the project and White Construction Inc. was picked to build the plant.

There is no word on when the company plans to begin construction.
