Wind energy project signs power purchase agreement

Geronimo Wind Energy signed a power purchase agreement to sell 200 MW of energy from the 200 MW Prairie Rose wind farm in Minnesota to Xcel Energy (NYSE: XEL).

The project will use 125 wind turbines.

Construction of the project is expected to begin by the end of 2011 and be completed by the end of 2012.
